Film Drama

Douglas has always had a passion for directing and writing drama. His first short film CAPRiCORN, was a ‘mockumentary’ about two filmmakers trying to make a sci-fi flick in their back yard. This story regarded by Douglas as art imitating life or vice versa, became the catalyst for his becoming a serious filmmaker. Since then Douglas and Double Wire Productions has produced and directed a number of short stories - from ‘time twisting’ sci-fi dramas to ‘hot headed bikey’ films. They also featured various works in film festivals nationally and internationally such as the ImagineNATIVE Film Media Arts Festival in Toronto, the Cowichan International Aboriginal Film Festival in Montreal Canada and the Wairoa Maori Film Festival East Coast, New Zealand.
